MISC intends to provide potable water sourced from desalination
plants through Oman Power and Water Procurement Co (OPWP).
A network
for distribution is in place to deliver about 8000 m3/day
of potable water. The storage facility built by the Ministry
of Housing Water and Electricity will act as a buffer
for contingencies.
